Can I use a pre-existing domain I own through a different provider with my Doodlekit website?

Yes, Doodlekit’s website builder allows you to point your domain to your website.  You have to upgrade in order to be able to do this.  Using your provider’s tools, you will need to point your CNAME to ‘doodlekit.com’.  Doodlekit’s website builder pre-configures it on our side.  Here are examples how you can do this if you use GoDaddy or Yahoo.

Can I upgrade at any time?  Do I lose any content on my website?

Yes, you can upgrade at anytime.  Our free website builder keeps your pre-existing data you have already created.  None of your content will be lost.

If I quit, can I transfer my domain? 

Yes, if you procure your domain through our website builder or transfer a pre-existing domain to us, we will transfer your domain to your new provider should you decide to quit.

If I’m not happy with Doodlekit’s website builder, can I get a refund?

If you are unhappy with your Doodlekit website for any reason, you can cancel your membership at any time.  If you cancel within the first 30 days after signing up, we will refund your first month’s payment minus expenses (i.e. domain procurement, custom design, etc.).   Refunds must be requested via email at: refunds@doodlekit.com.

Can I transfer my old websites layout or upload my own layout to Doodlekit’s free website builder?

No, you cannot transfer new or pre-existing layouts from your old website. Builders like Doodlekit have their own built in templating systems that require unique coding and design.
