Hi - I am checking out this service for the possibility of using it at my school to allow our teachers to collaboratively update a department website. Anyway, I am only using the free service at the moment but am a bit stuck. At the moment I have got the default setup where the first page is home, the second has a blog, the thirad a photo gallery \, the next a email form etc etc. How do I put these features onto other pages rather than those that are defaulted? For eg if you look at http://artsbenowa.doodlekit.com/home I want to put a photo gallery on all the pages, not just where art is. Also I notice the page urls are still showing as "http://artsbenowa.doodlekit.com/blog" rather than "http://artsbenowa.doodlekit.com/dance" How can I fix this?

Your photo albums, blog, and contact us pages are all special pages that contain specific functionality. It sounds like you want to create new pages with specific content.

So what you need to do is create new Pages, using the "Add new Page" button for Drama, Art, etc. Then you can insert images from your photo album into those pages. Then you can hide the other features like Blog if you don't want to use them.

Hi Ben

When I add a new page, there is nothing in it by default. There doesnt seem to be any option to hide any other features like you suggest. I have worked out how to insert code from other sources such as Google Maps but where do I get the code to insert, say, a photo album (not just images) or a blog onto the pages I create. Basically I want to put a photo album just like the one that is defaulted on page 2 and I can't seem to find the code anywhere. Are you saying that when I create a new page I should expect to see a photo album, blog etc etc already there by default? Reallty confused here and need help!

Thanks

Did you install the Editor?

If you have the editor, you should see a button that lets you add images to the page. It wont be just like the album, but you can simulate it. There is only one album.

Ok, I see now. I was really hoping to be able to have the photo album function available on each separate page.

Dave,

I overcame this with the placement of various photos on new pages and then to hide these pages from the menu (in my case the users must also login to view the page).

After populating various pages (making new pages from the Edit Menu) with photographs I linked these "photo-pages" to a front-end page that acts as a mini-album menu. So when a user click on a "photo-page" link he / she will be taken to the specific "photo-page" and from there will be able to navigate to similar pages or other parts of the website.

Unfortunately I cannot show you the pages as it is the classwork from one of my classes - and it is not viewable to the rest of my online student community.

Hope this helps. Contact me via http://www.vernonchalmers.com/contact should you require more information.
